Radiofrequency spectroscopy of one-dimensional trapped Bose polarons: crossover from the adiabatic to the diabatic regime

Abstract We investigate the crossover of impurity-induced dynamics, in trapped one-dimensional Bose polarons subject to radio frequency (RF) pulses varying intensity, from an adiabatic a diabatic regime. Utilizing for either weak repulsive or attractive impurity-medium interactions, multitude polaronic excitations mode-couplings impurity-bath interaction with collective breathing motion bosonic medium are spectrally resolved. find that strongly temporal orthogonality catastrophe manifests resonances excitation spectra where impurity coherence vanishes. When two impurities introduced, impurity–impurity correlations, strong couplings, induce spectral shift respect single impurity. For heavy impurity, peak is accompanied by series equidistant side-band resonances, related interference spin dynamics and sound waves bath. In all cases, we enter transfer regime increasing bare Rabi RF field Lorentzian shape featuring resonance. The findings this work on effects external trap, pulse should have implications new generations cold-atom experiments.
